Wendy PROCTERElectedAbout Me:
As a trustee for 19 years, I can bring experience and stability to the school board while understanding the issues facing parents.
I plan to continue to advocate for quality Catholic education rooted …in the Catholic faith in rural areas. I worked to establish a new rural Catholic school where my 4 children attended. As an active member of my parish and CWL treasurer I continue to keep the connections strong between home, school and parish.
Throughout my time on the board, I have had the opportunity to meet many students, parents and teachers which allowed me to keep in touch with the needs of our local schools. I am always available to listen to the concerns of the Catholic school community and will continue to ensure they are addressed at the board level.
I look forward to your support. More

Brian EVOYElectedAbout Me:
I am honoured to place my name in nomination for Catholic School Board Trustee with the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board.
My years of service and dedicated devotion to Catholic …education was influenced by my parents, teachers and parish over the years. I have served on many school councils including St. Joseph and St. Mary Catholic School, St. Marguerite Bourgeoys (was the first school council chair at the new school), served over ten years as school council chair at St. Paul Catholic School Council and was an active member of the Regiopolis Notre Dame High School council serving as a member, vice chair, and chair spanning the 4 years each of my children's school years.
I was one of the founding chairs of the Algonquin Lakeshore Catholic District School Board School Council Association who worked with other parents, including School board Administration to develop and implement the association representing all the Catholic School Councils in Algonquin Lakeshore.
I bring to the position of trustee a wide experience of education having served on Ministry of Education's curriculum tables. I was the first parent to be the Co-Chair of the EQAO Assessment Advisory Committee a committee consisting of high-level educators, and staff members of EQAO. I was appointed by the Minister of Education to serve on the Public Interest Committee for the Ontario College of Teachers and was reappointed as the Chair of the Committee spanning a seven-year period.
My work for Catholic education has taken me to the provincial level of education as Director for Algonquin Lakeshore CDSB on the Ontario Association of Parents for Catholic Education (OAPCE). I am proud of my work with OAPCE and was honoured to serve as President for four years and be asked to return as President for another four years. During those years working for OAPCE I had the privilege to partner with the Catholic Trustees (OCSTA), Catholic teachers (OECTA), Catholic Bishops of Ontario, and many other provincial Catholic groups in education.
I am proud to say I was born, raised and educated in Kingston! I know our city and the Islands well! My career has been over thirty plus years with the Ontario Public Service, and most recently working as a Chief of Staff for Member of Parliament Ted Hsu, and Constituency Office Manager with MPP Sophie Kiwala. I have been an active and engaged member of our community, serving on City Council, actively involved in many different volunteer organizations and for the last few years been an active board member for the Kingston Independent Living Centre.
My work for both Member of Parliament and the Member of the Provincial Parliament brought me into contact with many people, agencies and causes of our great community! Consequently, I have a strong connection with them having assisted on numerous requests, invitations and problems on behalf of both the MP and MPP.
Our family with my wife Adrianne and our children Adam, Nicholas and Larissa have consistently been deeply engaged in the Catholic school system! We have worked on Fun Fairs, Pizza Days, read to the JK/SK classes, coached soccer and of course we did our part cheering the students on at the various school and school board competitions!
In support of my nomination, I bring a wealth of knowledge of the Ontario education system and more importantly a strong commitment for the continuation of Catholic education in the Province of Ontario. I have and will continue to be a strong advocate for parent engagement in our schools and school board.
I am so grateful for the times I have been approached to seek a position on the ALCDSB as a trustee and I am thrilled that I am now in a position where I can steward and devote myself to the tasks of school trustee for your Board. I bring an extensive knowledge base of parent engagement, school board history, provincial education background both with the Ministry of Education and our Catholic education partners.
I am confident that with the experience, knowledge and continued passion for Catholic education I have a strong foundation to take on the trustee position for Kingston and the Islands.
