Kathy Bryck is a lifelong resident of Northwestern Ontario. Her parents Stu and Kay Martin met in Pickle Lake, Ontario where Stu came from St. Mary's Ontario to work for Indian Affairs and kay came from …Cork, Ireland to work as a nurse in Northern Canada. Kathy grew up in Sioux Lookout adn Kenora Ontario. Then attended Lakehead University where she completed her Bachelors of Science in nursing degree. She has worked for the Northwestern Health Unit in Dryden as a Public Health Nurse for over 30 years and is retiring in 2014. Her husband Dan has retired and their children live in Northwestern Ontario - Kaitlin (Kenora) and Adam (Dryden). Kathy was a board member until 2010 of the Dryden Regional Health Centre for 10 years - serving for 2 years as board chair. Experience and education provided by the Ontario Hospital Association has been valuable to Kathy and has contributed to her effectiveness as a trustee with the Northwest CDSB since 2010. In June 2014 Kathy was nominated for and received the Dryden Chamber of Commerce award for Service to Health Care. She is an active CWL member and holds the executive position in charge of Legislation. Having completed her first term with the Northwest Catholic District School Board and one year on the SEAC committee, Kathy looks forward to continuing as trustee if elected for a second term. More
