Andrew has spent most of his career working in both the public and non-profit sectors. With two young children with special needs, he understands the importance of quality education. He advocates for excellence …in teaching and education that promotes learning and character development in children so they can learn to use their unique gifts as they grow up in an ever-changing world. As Parker J. Palmer said, "Good teaching is an act of hospitality toward the young, and hospitality is always an act that benefits the host even more than the guest, ("The Courage to Teach"). Andrew believes that the value of public education cannot be underestimated and must be protected and invested in.
