2022 Election

I am hoping to be re-elected as a Trustee with the Catholic School Board for the City of Peterborough. I am currently a Trustee for the Catholic School Board representing the City of Kawartha Lakes and …am seeking to be re-elected in the City of Peterborough to continue to serve our community as a School Board Trustee.

I have 24 years experience working in the education sector at Trent University as an administrator. I am a parent of 4 children who all went to Catholic schools in the City of Peterborough.

Being a Trustee has allowed me to continue my connections with the Catholic school community, learn more about current education initiatives and be an advocate for parents and families. I would like to continue to promote student learning, advocate for students and parents and be a voice of support for Catholic education. I also support and appreciate teachers, education workers, and support staff in all the work they do for our children.

All students and families should feel at home in our Catholic schools, and I support diversity and inclusion initiatives in our schools. As a member of the Board, we voted to enable the Director of Education, to be able to fly an inclusive flag on school board facilities. There were no changes to the curriculum or to our Catholic values.

I will continue to promote student success and learning opportunities for our students.

We are privileged to have a wonderful, caring community of Catholic Schools. Let's work together to continue to ensure an education that supports students intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

I'm also the current Vice Chairperson of the (PVNCCDSB) school board, Chairperson of the board's Faith and Equity Committee, Chairperson of the board's Policy Committee, and sit on CPEC (Catholic Parent Engagement Committee).
