    About Me:

My husband and I moved from Oakville to Grimsby with our two beautiful children in November of 2021. I am originally from St. Catharines (a St. Denis and St. Francis graduate), so you can imagine how nice it feels to be back in the Niagara Region! I was educated under this board, and I served as a youth minister at St. Mary of the Assumption in St. Catharines and St. Ann in Fenwick, so I hold a deep fondness in my heart and a vision for the potential of the future of Niagara Catholic. Our schools should aid parents and parishes in producing well-rounded and critical thinking individuals who contribute to beauty in the world.

I am an Occasional Teacher for the Halton Catholic School Board, but my primary focus has been the domestic life. I am also currently working toward my Master of Theological Studies through St. Augustine's Seminary part-time.

Please feel free to contact me with inquiries pertaining to the upcoming election. I look forward to hearing from you!

    About Me:

I have had the honour of serving our great nation in the military for 30 years, retiring with an honorable discharge. I intend to serve the community of Thorold as Catholic School Board Trustee with equal dedication, vigor, and commitment. During my military career I have held positions on multiple councils and as a result I have become well versed in executive level meetings. Throughout my career I have received multiple commendations, most notably from the Chief of Defense for raising $10,000 to support the rebuilding of a destroyed school in Afghanistan. The committee of volunteers I founded and directed managed to raise more than $30,000 over the next two rotations.

As a father of two young adults and a husband for over 26 years I also bring a wealth of experience coupled with strong family values. I believe faith, family and freedom are the three essentials in which the foundation of a positive, growing community are formed. I am prepared to fight the necessary battle to protect these essentials in our community.

My wife and I moved to the Niagara Region primarily to attend the Latin Mass at St. Aloysius parish, and Thorold has become our spiritual home for which we care deeply. We have the true pleasure of attending at least six days a week and have enjoyed every minute of it.

It would be my privilege to assist in the strengthening of our community by serving as the local trustee for the Niagara Catholic District School Board. My goal is to ensure the best possible education and learning environment for our children. When it comes to providing the proper tools for our children and supporting his Excellency Bishop Bergie, failure is simply not an option.

    PLATFORM:

    Why protect our Catholic Education?

Our children are the adults of tomorrow. By giving them the Catholic education they deserve we will be equipping them to navigate the confusing landscape of the modern world and will prepare them to be the strong moral leaders of tomorrow.

I will be your advocate with my skills at the Niagara Regional Catholic Board of Education.

    About Me:

With leadership experience and insight from over 30 years of educational support staff service to NCDSB students, staff and school communities, I have much to contribute if elected Trustee.

As a school Library Technician for over 25 years and Coordinator of School Libraries for more than six, I was ever mindful of advocating for student achievement and well-being. I will bring a fresh, new perspective to the role of Trustee and continue to be mindful of what is best for students.

My library training has given me excellent research skills to acquire information and gain understanding on many issues and topics. I have also gained valuable knowledge and experience while representing NCDSB support staff as CUPE Local 1317 Executive Officer and President. Previous workshops and courses I’ve taken will enhance my abilities to operate as part of the Board of Trustees: Parliamentary Procedure, Communicating, Recording Secretary, Labour Law and Collective Bargaining.

My family belongs to the parish of Sts. Peter & Paul in Welland, although we’ve attended St. Mary, Welland and St. Joseph, Stevensville over the years. As a friend and neighbor I’ve enjoyed interaction with Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Shrine in Port Colborne.

Though retired from my school board library position, I remain a member of the Ontario Library Association and am presently involved with the annual conference planning committee.

I also continue to operate a small farm and managed forest which keeps me very connected to the community.
