    About Me:

My name is Shane (she/her) and I’m running in this year’s elections as your Ward 4 Public School Board Trustee. As a proud resident of Ward 4, and mother of three (two of whom are school-aged in French Immersion & FDK), I’m committed to ensuring that your voices are heard so that our schools meet the diverse needs of our communities.

My professional experience in curriculum development and student support, coupled with my work in autism services provincially has equipped me with the skills to find solutions to complex and systems-level issues through a person-centred lens.

I believe our schools are places where academic excellence can be achieved while are also places where everyone has the right to feel safe, build confidence and grow as citizens of the world.

I’d sincerely appreciate your vote on October 24.

    About Me:

Housing advocate, Employee, Volunteer and supporter who sees social issues in low income housing that could be helped in our school system. Elections should be about the people having a vote. Vote for me or not, but now in our Ward 4 of Hamilton ontario, we are having an election and not an acclaimation of the same person who has held this role of English Speaking Public School Board Trustee for going on 50 years. About Me:

I am a proud mother of six children, four of whom are currently students in our Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board schools. I have been a long-term care nurse for over 20 years. My primary assignment for most of that time has been in wards with Alzheimer and dementia patients.

I believe all students should have equitable access to everything our education system has to offer. While the HWDSB has been making strides towards some very notable achievements in equity, I believe there is always room for improvement and diverse voices at the table.
