    About Me:

    Gavin Cosgrove was appointed Trustee for the Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board (“ALCDSB”) on February 18, 2014 to fill the vacancy left from the passing of long serving Trustee Wilf Garrah. Born and raised in Kingston, Gavin attended elementary school at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic School and École Cathédrale Catholique and graduated from Holy Cross Catholic Secondary School. Gavin and his wife Whiteney, also a product of the ALCDSB, are parishioners at Holy Family Parish in Kingston. Gavin has a diverse educational background. In addition to having a bachelor of science degree in Economics from Manhattan College, a Catholic liberal arts college in New York City, he studied at teh East China University of Politics and Law in Shanghai, China and earned a law degree from the University of New Brunswick. More

    About Me:

    Lindsay has a degree in education and has taught at the Grades 7, 8 and 9 level. However, the bulk of his career has been spent as an officer in the Canadian Armed Forces. He has resided in Kingston for the past 16 years, and in 2013 was ordained as a deacon, assigned as part of the pastoral ministry team at a Kingston parish. Lindsay and his wife Karen King have four adult children and four grandchildren. He looks forward to supporting and contributing to the Board’s mission which recognizes both the challenges of the future and the need to leverage a Catholic education to prepare emerging leaders who will guide us on the way, a way made visible by the light of education and the light of Christ. More

    Kingston resident Kirk Romany is seeking election as a Trustees for the Algonquin & Lakeshore Catholic District School Board. Believing that schools are the heart of a community, he is passionate about the Catholic education system and wants to give back to the system in which he received his education. He unequivocally believes that honesty, integrity, accountability, equality and communication are necessary hallmarks of good Trustee. Kirk has worked in the field of finance for 15 years. He is active in his community through coaching church league sports and charities for underprivileged youth. He has resided in Kingston for 25 years. More

    About Me:

    Terry Shea has been a Trustee serving Kingston and the Islands for a total of six terms. During his time as Trustee, he has served as Chair of many committees and as Vice-Chair of the Board. His background is marketing, working in radio, TV and print in Kingston and he was a member of the part time faculty at St. Lawrence College for 11 years. He is semi-retired, and is currently under contract with a community newspaper providing marketing leadership. Terry and his wife have three daughters. More

    First elected as a Catholic school Trustee in 2010, Catharina Summers brings to the position 35 years as an educator, with 28 years’ experience in the Catholic system. She is passionate about Catholic education and what happens in the classroom, and feels her experiences give her the insight to make a difference. She is currently the Chair of the Finance and Operations Committee, and has served on committees including Catholic Education Week, Food Sharing Project, Catholic Character and Culture, Catholic School Council Association and Aboriginal Education Advisory Committee.
